Muskingum University will induct its newest members into the Athletic Hall of Fame during the Night of Impact on Friday, February 7, at 6:30 p.m. The event will be presented by Carol Goff & Associates Real Estate and hosted on the Mezzanine Level at the Bullock Health and Wellness Complex on Muskingum's campus.
The outstanding class of inductees includes Frank "Andy" Duda '67 (Track & Field/Football), Christie (Pulley) McGee '95 (Volleyball), Vanessa Warnock '00 (Women's Soccer), and Wes Carder '10 (Baseball).
Duda was an All-American in the shot put and is the current Muskingum record holder in the outdoor shot put with a mark of 53-2.75. He also lettered in football as a fullback and rushed for 647 yards and 16 touchdowns and helped lead the team to the Grantland Rice Bowl in 1964.
McGee was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 1994 and was a two-time All-OAC honoree. McGee still ranks sixth all-time at Muskingum for kills in season with 451 and ninth all-time for kills in a game with 24. She helped lead the Muskies to the NCAA Tournament in 1992.
Warnock was a three-time All-OAC and two-time All-Ohio honoree. She is the Muskingum career record holder for goals (44), assists (20), and points (108). Warnock also holds four of the top five spots for goals and points in a season.
Carder was honored with the Rawlings Gold Glove Award as a shortstop in 2010. The award is bestowed upon the top defensive shortstop in all of NCAA Division III. Carder ranks first all-time at Muskingum in runs scored (164), fourth in triples (7), sixth in hits (195), and eighth in batting average (.368), and at-bats (530).
