Women's Golf secures second at Muskingum Invitational

The Muskingum women's golf team secured a second-place finish in the Muskingum Invitational at Eaglesticks Golf Club. Junior Molly Cepek led the Muskies over the two-day tournament with a 172 (88-84).

Notables

  • The Muskies as a team set the school record for 36-hole team score with a 700 at the tournament.  

The Basics

  • As a team, the Muskies finished second out of four teams.
  • Muskingum finished the event with a 700 (345-355).
  • Otterbein won the event with a team score of 637 (317-320).

Inside The Numbers

  • Cepek led the Muskies with a 172 (88-84) over the two-day tournament. Cepek tallied three birdies at the tournament and highlighted her weekend with a nine-hole round of 39 on the first nine on day two.
  • Senior Madalyn Cutshall finished with a 175 (83-92) to pace the Muskies. Cutshall finished with two birdies on the weekend and tallied a 40 in her first nine holes of the tournament.
  • Sophomore Nataley Banks tallied a 177 (87-90) to fuel the Muskies.
  • Senior Samantha Miller carded a 179 (87-92) to help the Muskies.
  • Freshman Emily Royston ended the tournament with a 183 (94-89) to round out the Muskies.
  • On the individual side of competition, freshman Abby McCullough and freshman Alyson Dildine both competed. McCullough logged a 189 (91-98) and Dildine finished with a 191 (99-92).
