Men's Golf hosts the Muskingum Invitational

The Muskingum men's golf team hosted the Muskingum Invitational over the weekend. The Muskies finished in sixth place as a team and were led by senior Riley Norris who finished tied for 11th as an individual with a 149 (72-77).

The Basics

  • The event was held at Eaglesticks Golf Club
  • Muskingum finished the tournament in sixth place.
  • As a team, the Muskies shot 619 (312-307).
  • Otterbein won the event with a 589 (294-295).

On The Course 

  • Norris led the Mukies with an impressive 149 (72-77) over the two-day tournament. Norris recorded four birdies over the two rounds of play. Norris's play was highlighted by a one-under 34 in his first nine holes at the tournament.
  • Sophomore David Link Jr. fueled the Muskies with a 153 (80-73). Link Jr. bounced back after a tough first round as he recorded three birdies in rout to posting a 73 in the second round. Link Jr. had two birdies in his second nine of the day to finish with an even-par 35 over his last nine holes.
  • Senior Collin Deibel paced the Muskies with a 160 (81-79). Deibel started hot with a two-over 37 in his first nine holes of play in the tournament.
  • Freshman Isaac Warner added a 160 (79-81) as well to Muskingum's total. Warner logged five birdies in the tournament with three of them coming in his first eight holes of action.
  • Senior Sam Shoults carded a 163 (85-78) to round out the Muskies.
  • As individuals, junior Blaine Hannan, freshman Keenan Kelly, freshma Shea Lesko, and senior Keegan Windle each competed in the event.
  • Kelly scored a 162 (78-84), Hannan tallied 168 (82-86), Lesko finished with a 174 (92-82), and Windle recorded a 179 (91-88).
