The Muskingum women's lacrosse team dropped a heartbreaker in the final seconds at Washington and Jefferson on Wednesday evening, 7-6.

• Trailing 4-1 in the first half, Muskingum used a three-goal outburst over a five-minute span to tie the contest at 4-4.
• Washington and Jefferson netted a goal with 7 seconds remaining to regain the lead at the break, 5-4.
• The Muskies came out firing in the second half as junior Ashley Adams scored back-to-back goals giving Muskingum its first lead of the contest, 6-5.
• Washington and Jefferson continued to battle as they tied the contest 6-6 with 4:15 remaining.
• The Presidents carried the momentum into the final seconds as they connected for the game-winning goal en route to the win.

Game Notes

• Adams led the Muskie attack tying a game-high three goals on five shots.
• Junior Paige Watterman added two goals, while junior Sydni Uhrig scored one goal. 
• Senior Julie Kelley and junior Kaeleigh Norvet both tallied one assist.
• Junior Kate Shamel took the loss for the Muskies surrendering seven goals on 18 shots.
• Muskingum scored six goals on 16 shots.
• Caroline Kallos led the Presidents with three goals on six shots.
•  Kayla Boulas finished with two goals for Washington and Jefferson.
• In goal, Sara Maute claimed the win making two saves.
