Women's lacrosse drops heartbreaker at W&J

The Muskingum women's lacrosse team dropped a heartbreaker in the final seconds at Washington and Jefferson on Wednesday evening, 7-6.

  • Trailing 4-1 in the first half, Muskingum used a three-goal outburst over a five-minute span to tie the contest at 4-4.
  • Washington and Jefferson netted a goal with 7 seconds remaining to regain the lead at the break, 5-4.
  • The Muskies came out firing in the second half as junior Ashley Adams scored back-to-back goals giving Muskingum its first lead of the contest, 6-5.
  • Washington and Jefferson continued to battle as they tied the contest 6-6 with 4:15 remaining.
