Archery rewrites the Record Books at the USA Archery Collegiate 3D National Championships

Over the weekend, the Muskingum archery team rewrote the record books at the USA Archery Collegiate 3D National Championships. Freshman Kelly Hawvermale competed in the women's barebow event and won a National Championship for the Muskies.

In the Field

On day one

  • Freshman Kelly Hawvermale was crowned national champion in the Individual Women's Barebow category with a score of 364, making her the first Muskie in program history to achieve a national championship.
  • Senior Wes Ellsworth finished seventh in the male fixed pins division.
  • Junior Kylee Brookover finished 11th overall in the Female Compound Division.
  • Sophomore Gage Kennedy competed in the male barebow division. Kennedy earned 14th place.
  • Freshman Samantha Hibbler finished 19th overall in the female fixed pins division.
  • Sophomore Carlie Ellsworth accomplished a 20th overall finish in the female barebow Division.
