Women’s Cross Country finishes first at the Daniel Mullen Memorial Invitational

The women's cross country team took home a first-place finish at the Daniel Mullen Memorial Invitational on Saturday morning.

Notables

  • The invitational is in honor of Daniel Mullen, who was a 2015 graduate of Muskingum, where he was a member of the cross country and track & field teams. He helped lead the men's cross country squad to a 10th-place finish at the 2012 NCAA Regional Meet, which tied for the best finish in school history.

  • The Muskies tallied a total of 32 points to finish first out of four teams

How It Happened

  • Junior Abigail Derry led the Muskies with a time of 25:18.3 and finished second.
  • Freshman Hannah Metzger clocked in a time of 25:52.6 to post a fourth-place finish.
  • Junior Rosemary Stephens recorded a fifth-place finish with a time of 25:59.5.
  • Freshman Sarah Lute earned herself an 11th-place finish with a time of 27:18.6.
  • Sophomore Caroline Kennel posted a time of 27:40.3 and finished 15th.
