McAdams dominates, leads Women’s Cross Country to second-place finish

Graduate senior Macy McAdams dominated the field with a time of 19:54.8 to claim first place at the Muskingum Meet. McAdams' stellar performance helped lead Muskingum to a second-place finish.

The Course

  • Muskingum hosted the meet at Moorehead Farm.
  • The event was a 5K race.
  • The Muskies tallied a total of 59 points to finish second.
  • Mount Union claimed the team title with a score of 21. 

How it Happened

  • Graduate senior Macy McAdams registered a time of 19:54.8 to claim first place by 37 seconds.
  • Freshman Rosemary Stephens tallied a time of 22:03.1 to finish in 13th place for Muskingum, while freshman Taylor Metz recorded a time of 22:35.1 to claim 16th.
  • Freshman Rylee Bollenbacher recorded a 19th place finish with a time of 22:56, while freshman Abigail Derry logged a time of 23:25.3 for 26th place.
  • Freshman Alyssa Heinrichs registered a time of 23:29.4 for 27th place, while freshman Jillian Ayres rounded out the Muskie scoring with a time of 27:20.2 for 26th place.
  • Freshman Kyra Kiessling also notched a time of 28:58.1 for Muskingum.

  • Muskingum will be back in action on Friday, September 16, when they compete in the All-Ohio Championships. The event is hosted by Cedarville University and is set to begin at 8:15 p.m.
