Volleyball spikes Earlham in game four of the Muskingum Invitational

The Muskingum volleyball team spiked Earlham 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-17) to open play on day two of the Muskingum Invitational on Saturday.

  • Freshman Mackenzie Krous delivered a game-high 15 kills on 30 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage. 
  • Senior Khloe Taylor added six spikes to the Muskie net attack.
  • Sophomore Emma Johnson and sophomore Karissa Humphrey each tallied five kills.
  • Sophomore Chloe Burton and freshman Alexis Bradley each registered 12 assists to direct the attack. Burton also added a game-high 18 digs.
  • Freshman Katharine Clayton aided the defensive effort with 15 digs.
  • Caylee Brandes led the Quakers with seven kills.
  • Ava Walters directed the attack with 22 assists.
  • Lauren Newcomer added 16 digs to aid the defensive effort.

Muskingum will next host Otterbein to open Ohio Athletic Conference play on Wednesday, September 27. The game time is set for 7:00 p.m. in the Steele Center. The contest is a Muskie Pride game presented by Muskingum's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and all fans are encouraged to wear Muskie attire.
