Volleyball spikes Denison in four sets

The Muskingum volleyball team spiked Denison on Wednesday night, 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 25-15).

  • The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, September 5, at Muskingum but was postponed due to a power outage in New Concord.

Inside the Numbers 

  • Freshman Mackenzie Krous led the team with 12 kills and 14 digs. 

  • The sophomore duo of Emma Johnson and Josie Niemeyer each added six kills.
  • Senior Khloe Taylor added an additional eight kills, eight digs, and two blocks. 

  • Sophomore Chloe Burton recorded 26 assists. 

  • Senior Raegan Flood contributed four blocks and added another seven kills. 

  • Junior Grace Pedersen added 12 digs and two service aces.

  • Kelly McCaskey for Denison registered 11 kills.
  • Alice Kempf led the Big Red in assists with 29 and added 18 digs.

Muskingum will be traveling to Transylvania to play in the Transy Invite and will be taking on Covenant on September 8, at 4:00 PM and Transylvania at 8:00 PM. On September 9, the Muskies will play Marian at 11:00 AM.
