The Muskies kept it close but couldn't squeeze out a win losing 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-21).

- The Muskies would tie up the first set at 6-6 early on.

- In the second set, the Muskies would trail 18-16, but would not be able to claim the lead and end up falling 25-21.

- The first set was tied at 11-11, then the Lions would go on a 14-6 run to end the first set.
- The Muskies would come out strong in the second set with a 10-5 lead.
- The Lions would battle back to tie the second set at 20-20.
- The Muskies would be too much for the Lions winning the second set 25-22.
- In the third set, Muskingum comes out with a 2-0 lead. The Lions would answer back taking the lead and not look back winning 25-16.
- The fourth set was a close one at 22-19 advantage of the Lions. The Lions would end up winning 25-19.

- The Muskies would be able to cut the lead to 5 but would not be able to overcome the Yellow Jackets.
- Set four would be a back-and-forth match and would be tied 17-17. Muskies would fall short and lose the final set 25-21.
