The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have named senior volleyball student-athlete Emma Conrad to the Academic All-America First Team. Conrad becomes the seventh volleyball player in program history to earn Academic All-America honors. The CSC Academic All-America list is the highest honor to recognize excellence both in the classroom and in athletics.

Conrad, the Ohio Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Month for December, adds to her impressive list of awards and achievements during the 2022 season. Included are an Academic All-OAC honor, an All-OAC First Team nod, an OAC All-Tournament Team selection, a CSC Academic All-District honor, and she was a member of Muskingum's President's List for the 2022 Fall semester. 

During the 2022 season, Conrad posted numerous career-highs while also etching her name into Muskingum's record book. Conrad, a two-time captain for Muskingum, moved into seventh on the Muskies' all-time assist list with 1,763, and she also posted career-highs for a single season in assists (859), digs (309), kills (115), blocks (47), and service aces (32) this year. Conrad's stellar play was an integral part of Muskingum's success, which saw the program reach their fifth straight OAC Tournament semi-final appearance. Muskingum finished the year with an 18-8 overall record, the program's ninth straight winning season. The Muskies were also recognized at the national level this year, receiving votes for three straight weeks in the AVCA Division III Top-25 Poll.

After graduating in the spring with her degree in Psychology, Conrad will look to pursue a Master's Degree in social work while also being a school-based counselor.

Conrad is one of five Division III Academic All-Americans who posted a perfect 4.0 GPA, and the eight student-athletes of the first team compiled a 3.916 average GPA. Conrad is the only OAC volleyball student-athlete to be named to the CSC Academic All-America First Team.
