The Muskingum volleyball team dominated Hanover 3-0 and followed it up by handling Western Conn. St. 3-0 on day two of the Great Lakes Crossover.
Notables
- Muskingum now holds a record of 3-0 this season with all three wins being in straight-sets. This marks the first time since the 2017 campaign the Muskies have opened the season with three straight straight-set wins.
Game 1
The Basics
- Records: Muskingum (2-0 Overall), Hanover (1-2 Overall)

How it Happened
- Muskingum dominated the opening set, claiming a 25-10 win over the Panthers.
- After a back and forth second frame, the Muskies prevailed by a score of 25-20.
- The Muskies finished off the sweep in the third set with a 25-18 win over the Panthers. The sweep marks Muskingum's second straight 3-0 win to start the 2022 season.
Inside the Numbers
- Muskingum was led by junior Khloe Taylor who registered a game-high 10 kills.
- Freshman Quinn Horn tallied nine kills, eight digs, and three service aces; while senior Emma Conrad dished out 29 assists to go along with seven kills.
- Sophomore Addison Gingrich and senior Gracie Collins both tallied a team-high 10 digs, while junior Lexie Huck tallied six kills.
- As a team, the Muskies totaled 39 kills, 37 assists, 43 digs, and six service aces.

How it Happened
- The first set saw both teams trade points for much of the frame. However, Muskingum was able to use clutch plays down the stretch to secure the 26-24 set one victory.
- Riding their momentum, the Muskies downed the Wolves 25-21 in set two.
- Not turning back, Muskingum dominated the Wolves, handing them a 25-11 third set loss and sweeping the match.
Inside the Numbers
- The Muskies were led by the junior-duo of Lexie Huck and Khloe Taylor who registered nine kills each. Huck also registered three blocks, while Taylor tallied two.
- Senior Emma Conrad handed out 31 assists on the match, while also registering three digs.
- Senior Gracie Collins recorded a team-high 13 digs to go along with two service aces, while senior Emma Dunham notched seven kills and three blocks as well.
- Freshman Quinn Horn filled up the stat sheet with six kills, four digs, and two service aces; while sophomore Addison Gingrich chipped in five digs.
- As a team, the Muskies totaled 35 kills, 34 assists, 30 digs, nine blocks, and six service aces.
