Volleyball dominates Grove City for season-opening win

The Muskingum volleyball team dominated Grove City 3-0 at the Great Lakes Crossover for their first win of the 2022 season.

  • The Muskies jumped on the Wolverines early, taking the first set by a commanding score of 25-9.
  • Riding their momentum, Muskingum secured the second set 25-13 over Grove City.
  • Not slowing down, the Muskies dominated the third set 25-9, and completing 3-0 sweep of the Wolverines.

Inside the Numbers

  • The Muskies were led by junior Lexie Huck who tallied 11 kills.
  • Senior Emma Conrad dished out a team-high 24 assists, while senior Gracie Collins registered 12 digs and tallied five service aces.
  • Freshman Quinn Horn also tallied five service aces to go along with her eight digs and five kills.
  • Senior Khloe Taylor turned in a solid effort with seven kills, sophomore Addison Gingrich notched four digs and two service aces.
  • As a team, the Muskies totaled 29 kills, 27 assists, 29 digs, and 14 service aces.
