The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum senior outside hitter Brooke Bigrigg was named OAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for her dominating performances against Capital and twentieth-ranked Otterbein. Bigrigg helped guide the Muskies to a 2-0 record last week, and this honor marks the second time in the 2021 fall season she has earned OPOW.
Against Capital, Bigrigg notched a team-high 11 kills on 23 attempts, registering a .478 hitting percentage, while also earning eight digs in a sweep against the Comets.
On Saturday, she tallied a team-high 23 kills, which propelled her to second on the Muskingum all-time career kills list with 1492. She registered a .292 hitting percentage and grabbed 20 digs during a five-set thrilling win over the twentieth-ranked Cardinals.
This season, Bigrigg has tallied a team-best 241 kills, averaging 2.84 kills per set, she has a team-best 27 serving aces, and a team-best 292 digs.
The Muskies next travel to Marietta to clash with the Pioneers on Wednesday, October 27. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
