Bigrigg named OAC Offensive Player of the Week

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum volleyball senior outside hitter Brooke Bigrigg was named OAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performances against John Carroll, Transylvania, and Hanover. Her play helped guide the Muskies to a 3-0 record last week.

Against John Carroll, Bigrigg notched a team-high nine kills on 30 attempts, registering a .267 hitting percentage, while also earning 10 digs in a sweep against the Blue Streaks.

Over the weekend in game one against Transylvania, she tallied a team-high 19 kills on 58 attempts, registering a .241 hitting percentage and grabbed 22 digs during a 3-2 victory for the Muskies. In game two against Hanover, she tallied a team-high nine kills on 38 attempts, registering a .237 hitting percentage and added nine digs to wrap-up weekend play and secure a Muskie 3-0 victory.

This season, Bigrigg has tallied a team-best 152 kills, averaging 2.76 kills per set, has a team-best 19 serving aces, averaging 0.35 a set, and has a team-best of 187 digs.

The Muskies next travel to Ada to clash with OAC-foe #12 Ohio Northern on Wednesday, September 29. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
