Volleyball receives votes in the latest AVCA Division III Top 25 Poll

The Muskingum volleyball team received votes (13 points) in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday. The AVCA Division III Top 25 Poll is selected by Division III head coaches representing the eight NCAA regions.

The Muskies are off to a 6-6 start this season after adding a win over the weekend against Dominican. Muskingum has played one of the most demanding schedules in the country this fall.

As a team, Muskingum has totaled 501 kills, 451 assists, 647 digs, and 54 blocks on the season thus far. The Muskies currently average 11.39 kills per set, 10.25 assists per set, 14.70 digs per set, and 1.23 blocks per set.

Senior Brooke Bigrigg leads the Muskies with 115 kills and 146 digs while averaging 2.61 kills per set and 3.32 digs per set.

Sophomore Raegan Flood has added 73 spikes and 17 blocks, while sophomore Khloe Taylor has notched 61 kills.

Senior Erin Dickson has registered 44 kills and leads the team with 216 assists, averaging 4.91 per set.

Junior Emma Conrad has notched 169 assists on the season and averages 3.84 assists per match.

The Muskies will be back in action this Wednesday, September 22, when they open up Ohio Athletic Conference play against John Carroll. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m., and fans can follow live on fightingmuskies.com or the OAC TV app.
