Volleyball receives 80 points in latest AVCA Division III Top 25 Poll

The Muskingum volleyball team received 80 points in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll that was released on Tuesday. The AVCA Division III Top 25 Poll is selected by Division III head coaches representing the eight NCAA regions.

The Muskies hold a 5-3 overall record, and added to their win column with victories over Virginia Wesleyan and Birmingham-Southern over the weekend.

As a team, Muskingum has totaled 371 kills, 331 assists, 473 digs, and 38 blocks on the season thus far. The Muskies currently average 11.97 kills per set, 10.68 assists per set, 15.26 digs per set, and 1.23 blocks per set as well.

Senior Brooke Bigrigg leads the Muskies with 80 kills and 105 digs, while averaging 2.58 kills per set and 3.39 digs per set.

Senior Erin Dickson leads the team with 148 assists and she also averages 4.77 assists per set.

Senior Maddie McGee sits in second on the team with 63 kills, while sophomore Raegan Flood has tallied 48, which places her in third. Junior Emma Conrad has notched 138 assists on the season, and averages 4.45 assists per set.

The Muskies will be back in action this Friday, September 17, when they take on Cornell at the Hope Tournament in Holland, Michigan. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m.
