Muskingum volleyball Head Coach Hallie Cruzen has announced the selection of captains for the 2021 season. Senior outside hitter Brooke Bigrigg, senior outside hitter Maddie McGee, senior setter Erin Dickson, junior setter Emma Conrad, and sophomore middle hitter Raegan Flood will direct the Muskies.

Bigrigg, a returning captain and OAC Player of Year honoree, ended the season with a team-best 356 digs (4.94 digs-per-set). She also added 133 total kills, 50 assists, and 12 service aces. Last season, Bigrigg finished her season ranked second in Digs in the OAC.

McGee, a returning captain and First Team All-OAC honoree finished the year with a team-best of 268 kills (3.88 kills-pre-set). She added 15 assists and 12 blocks. McGee finished the season ranked second in kills, kills-per-set, and points in the OAC.

Dickson, a returning captain and Second Team All-OAC winner, finished the season with a team-best of 482 assists (6.89 assists-per-set). She secured a total of 62 kills, 10 total blocks, and 187 digs. Dickson finished the season ranked fourth in the OAC in assists and was awarded CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-District 7.

Conrad, a first-year captain for the Muskie squad, finished her season ranked second in assists with 290. She also added 21 kills and 16 service aces.

Flood appeared in 14 total matches and 35 sets for the Muskies. She finished the year with 40 kills, 19 digs, and 12 total blocks.

The 16th-ranked volleyball team opens their season on Wednesday, September 1, when they host Ohio Wesleyan in the Anne C. Steele Center at 7:00 p.m. The Muskies open OAC play on Wednesday, September 22, hosting John Carroll.
