#12 Volleyball conquers Marietta to advance to OAC Tournament Championship

The #12 and top-seed Muskingum volleyball team conquered rival Marietta 3-0 Thursday night to advance to the OAC Tournament Championship.

The Difference

  • The Muskies rallied from a 20-15 first-set deficit by outscoring the Pioneers 10-2 to seal the opening set win.
  • In the second set, Muskingum trailed 14-10 before closing out the set on a 15-7 surge to take a 2-0 lead.
  • Muskingum jumped out to a quick 7-1 lead in the third set to grab the early momentum en route to the sweep.
  • Muskingum finished the game with 46 kills, 45 assists, 74 digs, and three blocks. The Muskies hit .250 for the match.
  • Marietta tallied 34 kills, 30 assists, 58 digs, and seven blocks. The Pioneers hit .105 for the match.
