The Muskingum volleyball team posted a 2-1 record at the Kenyon Tournament Friday-Saturday. The Muskies beat La Roche and Geneva 3-0 before suffering their first loss of the season against Kenyon, 3-1.
The Basics
- The tournament was hosted by Kenyon
- Muskingum now stands at 7-1 overall
- The Muskies next travel to the DePauw Invitational on Friday, September 15 and Saturday, December 16
Friday Night Action
- The Muskies opened play on Friday with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-16) win against La Roche. The victory marked Muskingum's second win this season against the Redhawks.
- Senior Chlow Brandewie led the Muskies with nine kills. The Muskies recorded 37 spikes in the match.
- Freshman Erin Dickson directed the attack with 22 assists.
- Senior Courtney Nestoff led the backline with 18 digs.
- Muskingum ended play on Friday with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-22) win against Geneva.
- Freshman Brooke Fatheree led the squad with 13 kills. She also added a team-best 16 digs.
- Dickson recorded 28 assists and nine digs.
- Muskingum ended the contest with 36 kills.
Saturday Action
- Muskingum suffered its first loss of the season against Kenyon, 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 15-25, 18-25).
- The sister combination of senior Taylour Fatheree and freshman Brooke Fatheree led the net attack with eight kills each. Taylour also added seven blocks, while Brooke logged five blocks.
- Dickson ended the outing with 31 assists and seven digs.
- Nestoff had 21 digs, while junior Jordan Youngs registered 13 digs.
