The Muskingum volleyball team moves to 7-1 overall after going a perfect 3-0 at the Earlham Tournament. The Muskies defeated Franklin and Earlham in straight sets.
Game 1 - Muskingum 3, Franklin 0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-21)
At the Net
- Sophomore Miranda Plumly led the attack with a team-high 11 kills.
- Junior Chloe Brandewie added eight kills and five blocks.
- Junior Mackenzie O'Shea finished with seven kills.
- Jenna Spini notched six kills and two blocks for Franklin.
Assisting the Attack
- Freshman Rhieannae Cory guided the attack recording 20 assists for the Muskies.
- Freshman Kennedy Brown finished the contest with 16 assists.
- Franklin, setter, Nico Morris finished the game with 13 assists.
Defending the Court
- Junior Deidre Prince defended the floor for the Muskies recording 20 digs.
- Junior Courtney Nestoff had 14 digs.
- For the Grizzles, Ashley Bazier and Libby Stahl finished with 16 digs each.
Game 2 - Muskingum 3, Earlham 0 (30-28, 25-23, 25-16)
At the Net
- Senior Katie Hunt led the attack with a team-high 12 kills.
- O'Shea, Brandewie and Nestoff finished with eight kills each.
- Brandewie recorded seven blocks.
- Ashleigh Burton finished with 11 kills for the Quakers.
Assisting the Attack
- Cory finished the contest with a game-high 22 assists.
- Brown added 19 assists.
- Lauren Jackson guided the attack for Earlham recording 20 assists.
Defending the Court
- Prince finished the contest with 19 digs.
- Nestoff had 14 digs, while sophomore Jordan Youngs finished with 13 digs.
- Megan Hedinger finished with a game-high 22 digs for Earlham.
Game 3 - Muskingum 3, Transylvania 1 (25-18, 25-16, 18-25, 25-21)
At the Net
- Hunt closed out the weekend with a game-high 13 kills.
- Brandewie finished with 10 kills.
- Plumly added nine kills for the Muskies.
- Junior Rose LeVally and Hunt had two blocks each.
- The Pioneers were led by Shelby Catlett with 10 kills.
Assisting the Attack
- Brown guided the attack with 22 assists.
- Cory added 19 assists.
- Hannah Talkers finished the contest with a game-high 40 assists.
Defending the Court
- Prince defended the backline for the Muskies recording 24 digs.
- Nestoff and Brown both finished with seven digs each.
- Marissa Coutinho picked up 19 digs.
