The Muskingum volleyball team swept OAC rival Otterbein University 3-0 (26-24, 25-21, 29-27) in a thrilling match-up on Saturday afternoon in the Recreation Center. The Muskies improve their overall record to 17-7 and 3-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
Up at the Net
- The Muskies were led by sophomore Taylour Fatheree who hammered 15 kills and three blocks.
- Freshman Ashley Reynolds added 11 kills for Muskingum.
- Senior Brooke Scott also logged eight kills.
- Otterbein was led by Morgan Lowenkamp and Maddy Shelley with 13 and 10 kills, respectively.
Assisting the Attack
- The Muskingum offense was directed by sophomore Taylor Mathews who recorded 39 assists.
- The Cardinal attack was guided by Lauren Blumberg with 18 assists and Hannah Adams with 14 assists.
Defending the Court
- For the Muskies, sophomore Deidre Prince and Mathews had 14 digs each.
- Sophomore Courtney Nestoff also logged 12 digs for Muskingum.
- Otterbein's defense was led by Gracie Staten with 26 digs.

- The Muskies will return to the home court on Tuesday, October 20, when they take on the Mount Union Purple Raiders at 7:00 p.m.
