Volleyball spikes rival Marietta

The Muskingum volleyball team spiked rival Marietta in Ohio Athletic Conference play on Tuesday night, 3-0 (25-15, 15-12, 25-18).

How It Happened

  • Muskingum dominated play at the net behind the stellar play of sophomore Taylour Fatheree, senior Brooke Scott, junior Katie Hunt and sophomore Chloe Brandewie. Fatheree had 10 kills and seven blocks and Scott added 10 kills and four blocks. Hunt added six spikes and three blocks, while Brandewie notched six kills and four blocks.
  • The Muskies ended the outing with 20 blocks.
  • Sophomore Taylor Mathews directed the attack with 27 assists. She also added 15 digs.
  • Sophomore Deidre Prince and sophomore Courtney Nestoff helped pace the defensive effort with 12 digs and 10 digs, respectively.
  • The straight-set win was the eighth of the year.
