The Muskingum volleyball team is on a hot streak at the OAC/HCAC Crossover hosted by the Muskies, where they finished 2-0 the first day of the tournament. The Muskies defeated Defiance and Mt. St. Joseph to propel them to an 11-5 record this season.
Game 1- Muskingum 3, Defiance 1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-22, 27-25)
At the Net
- Sophomore Taylour Fatheree had had a team-high 16 kills and two blocks.
- Junior Katie Hunt added 13 kills and two blocks.
- Marissa Windau and Meredith Shank each notched 11 kills and one block Defiance.
Assisting the Attack
- Sophomore Taylor Mathews registered 40 assists for Muskingum.
- Ari Mahaffey aided the Yellow Jacket offense with 33 assists.
Defending the Court
- Sophomore Deidre Prince notched 22 digs.
- Sophomore Courtney Nestoff had seven digs.
- Rebecca Kain recorded 30 digs for Defiance.
Game 2- Muskingum 3, Mt. St. Joseph 0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-12)
At the Net
- The Muskies were led by Hunt with 10 kills and two blocks.
- Fatheree and senior Brooke Scott each had seven kills.
- Mt. St. Joseph was led by Emily Bostian with five kills.
Assisting the Attack
- Mathews aided the attack for the Muskies with 29 assists.
- Sydney Wilzbach and Lynsee Spatz had 13 and seven assists, respectively, for Mt. St. Joseph.
Defending the Court
- Prince and senior Lane Browning shared the effort with 15 digs each.
- Freshman Jordan Youngs logged 12 digs.
- Mt. St. Joseph was led by Jessice Wilgenbusch with nine digs.

- The Muskies return to the court tomorrow morning (9/26) at 9:30 a.m. for the second day of the tournament when they take on Transylvania.
