Muskies host Dig for a Cure match

The Muskingum volleyball team hosted a Dig for a Cure match against Marietta on Tuesday night. The Pioneers won the contest, 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-22).

The Muskies now stand at 10-11 overall and 1-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Muskingum next travels to John Carroll University on Friday, October 18. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Muskingum freshman Katie Hunt led the team with nine kills and one block. Senior Hanna Rose added eight spikes and 15 digs, while sophomore Brooke Scott registered seven kills and two blocks.

Senior Kim Seitter led the defensive effort with a game-high 36 digs. Junior Alexa Abrams added 14 digs.

Freshman Kaleigh Hendrix recorded 22 assists to direct the offensive attack.

Marietta (11-13, 1-3) was led by Chloe Johnson who had 10 kills and three blocks.

Laura Mauer added a game-best 35 assists and Mary Ervin chipped in 24 digs.
