Women's Indoor Track and Field secures second at Capital Invite

The Muskingum women's indoor track and field team secured second in the seven-team field at the Capital Invite on Friday.

The Basics

On the Track

  • Freshman Macey Mills finished fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 9.07.
  • Freshman Miranda Houshel secured a 60-meter dash time of 9.38, finishing sixth.
  • Freshman Arielle Rankin notched third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.51.
  • Freshman Madison Curavo locked in fifth in the 5,000-meter run with a total time of 23:35.26.
  • Freshman Valerie Deighton logged sixth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 24:02.91.
  • Junior Louisa Smith notched fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.52).
  • The 4x200-meter relay team of Rankin, junior Mary Double, sophomore Spencer Neville, and freshman Ragan Savage finished second with a time of 1:57.24.
  • The 4x400-meter relay team of Double, Neville, sophomore Mikayla Deiotte, and freshman Kelsey Saxton rounded out the efforts for the Muskies with a time of 4:45.37, finishing third.

In the Field

  • Senior Emily Ellyson guided the Muskies with a high jump mark of 1.52 meters, finishing third.
  • Neville locked in fourth in high jump with a height of 1.47 meters.
  • Freshman Brooke Robbins grabbed fifth in pole vault with a mark of 2.45 meters.
  • Double secured second in long jump (4.79 meters) and triple jump (9.17 meters).
