Women's Tennis honored with five ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Team Award

The Muskingum women's tennis team was honored with the ITA All-Academic Team Award, and freshman Gracie Andrews, junior Emma Lewis, junior Kayla Hall, freshman McKinzie Buckmaster, and freshman Jane Boyer were all named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Andrews, a psychology and sport administration double major, is from Canton, Ohio, and is the daughter of Mandy and Dave Andrews. Lewis, a business management and marketing double major, is from Saint Clairsville, Ohio, and is the daughter of Amy and Dave Lewis. Hall, a special education and early childhood education double major, is from Mineral City, Ohio, and is the daughter of Karla and Jeff Hall. Buckmaster, an interdisciplinary major, is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and is the daughter of Monica and Matt Buckmaster. Boyer, an early childhood education major, is from Delaware, Ohio, and is the daughter of Rachel and Ryan Boyer.

Muskingum is lead by Head Coach Bridget Barrett, who will be entering her third year at the helm of the program this fall.

The ITA All-Academic Team Award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letterwinner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
