The Muskingum women's tennis team battled non-league foe La Roche on Wednesday afternoon. In the end, the Muskies slipped against the Redhawks 6-3.
The Muskies were led by junior Elizabeth Knauss, freshman Brittany Besancon and junior Elisabeth Kuhn.
Knauss gutted out a tough 6-2, 5-7, 10-8 win at first singles against Devin Stromberg.
Besancon outlasted Kylie Banister at second singles 6-4, 7-5.
Kuhn rounded out the Muskie effort with a solid 6-0, 6-3 win at fourth singles against Miranda Lasher.
Muskingum next hosts Baldwin Wallace for its regular season finale on Saturday, April 29. Match time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Muskie Courts.
