The Muskingum women's tennis team battled rival Marietta on a cold and windy Saturday afternoon at Muskie Courts. The Pioneers fended off the feisty Muskies en route to a 9-0 win.

Inside The Numbers
- Marietta grabbed the early momentum in the match with wins at first, second and third doubles.
- The Muskingum second double tandem of junior Nikola Burkard and Kristen Chandler took three games against Elyssa Ackerman and Hannah Stankus.
- In singles play, Burkard dropped a hard-fought match at third singles against Alex Seals, 7-5, 6-1.
- Freshman Lindsay Brindack pushed Ackerman in their second-singles bout before bowing out, 6-4. 6-1.
- At first singles, sophomore Lizzie Knauss won two games in each set against Carey Becker.
- Chandler won three games in the second set against Stankus in their fourth-singles match.
