The Muskingum women's tennis team battled LaRoche in its season opener on Saturday. The Muskies dropped two third set tiebreakers en route to slipping, 9-0.

How It Happened
- Sophomore Elizabeth Knauss played first singles and first doubles for the Muskies. She dropped a tough three-set match (3-6, 6-2, 8-10) at first singles against Emily Huwe. At first doubles, Knauss teamed with freshman Lindsay Brindack and slipped 8-4 against Sarah Brunner and Kirsten King.
- Muskingum freshman Nikola Burkard played third singles and lost in three sets (1-6, 6-3, 5-10) against Emily Anderson.
- Muskingum sophomore Kristen Chandler dropped a 6-3, 6-3 contest at fourth singles against Chardai Guthrie.
