The Muskingum women's soccer team fell on the road to #10 Case Western Reserve, 7-1 on Saturday afternoon in Cleveland.

  • The Muskies were led by freshman Morgan Meisel who scored her fifth career goal. 
  • Freshman Jennafer Roberts grabbed 10 saves in 78 minutes between the pipes.
  • Sophia Stellabottle and Anika Washburn guided the Spartans with two goals each.

How it Happened

  • The Muskies opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Meisel intercepted a pass from the goalie and found the back of the net making it, 1-0 Muskies.
  • The Spartans would respond with back-to-back goals in the 13th minute to take a, 2-1 lead.
  • Case Western Reserve would erupt on a five-goal surge to make it the final, 7-1.
