Women's soccer second-half surge falls short

The Muskingum women's soccer team scored two second-half goals to tie St. Vincent, but the Bearcats tallied a late goal to turn back the Muskie rally on a chilly and wet night, 3-2.

  • The Bearcats extended their lead with a tally by Grewal in the 27th minute.
  • Meisel trimmed the Muskie deficit to 2-1 on a strike in the 58th minute. The goal came off a save from freshman Madison Yenke's shot.
  • Mackie tied the contest in the 70th minute when she intercepted a goal kick and sent a laser blast into the back of the net.
  • The Muskie rally was halted in the 79th minute on Irvine's goal to propel the Bearcats to the win.
