Women's Soccer Locked In for 2021 Season

Under the direction of second-year head coach Dani Gunderson, the Muskingum women's soccer team will look to make a leap in the Ohio Athletic Conference standings during the 2021 fall campaign. With many key players returning to the squad this season, coupled with a top-tier recruiting class, the Muskies look poised to compete with the best in the OAC.

Leading the Muskies this season will be junior midfielder Jenna Jordan and sophomore forward Brianna Mackie.

Jordan scored one goal and helped anchor the midfield for the Muskies during the shortened 2021 spring campaign. Mackie, who garnered Honorable Mention All-OAC honors for her play last season, started all nine games for the Muskies and was a key contributor to the Muskie offense.

Also adding depth and looking to make a presence this fall for the Muskies are the captain trio of senior midfielder/defender Maddie Wirtley, senior defender Alyssa Schneider, and junior defender Sheridyn Woofter. Junior forward/midfielder Bekah Knight and sophomore goalie Kelly Buck will also add talent to the Muskie lineup.

Muskingum opens up their season at home on Wednesday, September 1, against Earlham at the North Athletic Turf Field. The Muskies begin OAC play on Saturday, October 2, at home against John Carroll.
