Women's soccer suffers tough road loss

The Muskingum women's soccer team suffered a tough 7-0 road loss at Franciscan on Thursday night.

The Basics

  • Records: Muskingum (1-4-1 overall), Franciscan (2-3 overall)

How It Happened

  • Franciscan seized control of the contest with three goals in the opening 23 minutes of play.
  • The Barons completed the scoring with four second-half goals.
  • Muskingum notched 10 shots on the night.
  • Senior captain Hailey Dickey and sophomore Miranda Bishop each had two shots to lead the Muskies.
  • Muskingum had three corner kicks.
  • The Barons had seven different players score goals.

Between The Pipes

  • Junior Liz Mitchell started in frame and allowed six goals and made 10 saves in 55 minutes of work. Freshman Heather Maxwell played the final 35 minutes and allowed one goal and made five saves.
  • Sarah Leubking made seven saves en route to recording the shutout.
