Wrestling Competes at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational

The Muskingum Wrestling team competed at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational on Saturday morning.

The Basics

  • The Muskies finished 12/12
  • Location: Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium - Berea, Ohio

On The Mat

  • Freshman Joseph Slatzer competed in the 133-weight class. Slatzer received a bye in the first round but lost by fall in his second match and by technical fall in the consolation round. He finished the day with a 0-2 record.
  • Rushi Patel wrestled in the 141-weight class. Patel received a bye in the consolation bracket but lost his matches by technical fall and fall. He finished with a 0-2 record.
  • Aiden Johnson competed in the 149-weight class. Johnson earned a major decision win in the opening round and followed with two pins in the consolation bracket before finishing with a 3-2 record.
  • Zeke Poulos wrestled in the 157-weight class. Poulos received two byes and won one match by decision before finishing with a 1-2 record.
  • Rugby Meza competed in the 184-weight class. Meza earned a major decision and two decision wins in the consolation rounds, finishing 6th overall with a 3-3 record.
  • Freshman Robert Edwards Jr. wrestled in the 285-weight class. Edwards secured two pins and a major decision victory, finishing 5th overall with a 3-2 record.
