Wrestling celebrates Senior Night vs. Ohio Wesleyan

The Muskingum wrestling team celebrated senior night on Friday against Ohio Wesleyan inside the Steele Center. Seniors Tanner Donathan and Noah DeHainaut led the Muskies with decision wins in their respective weight classes.

The Basics

  • Records: Muskingum (4-9 Overall), Ohio Wesleyan (4-1 Overall)
  • Location: Steele Center – New Concord, Ohio

Notables

  • Prior to the match, Muskingum welcomed John Glenn High School and Cambridge High School to the Steele Center for an OHSAA bout.
  • Muskingum also honored the four senior members of the Muskie wrestling program prior to the event as part of their senior night festivities. Hunter Heck, Tanner Donathan, Isaac Sell, and Noah DeHainaut were all recognized for their contributions to the wrestling program during their time at Muskingum.
  • The match also concluded the 2022-23 regular season for Muskingum.

On the Mat

  • Leading the way for Muskingum was senior Tanner Donathan who picked up a 7-2 decision win in the 149-pound weight class.
  • Also getting into the win column was senior Noah DeHainaut who picked up a 5-3 decision victory in the 285-pound weight class for Muskingum.
