Wrestling looks to contend in the OAC during 2021-22 season

Under the direction of interim head coach Joe McFee, the Muskingum wrestling team opens their season on Saturday, November 13, at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational.

Muskingum's wrestling team brings a 17-man roster into the 2021-22 season, which includes 12 upperclassmen and five freshmen. Wrestling this season for the Muskies are:
Jacob Baca – Sophomore – 184 lbs.
Noah DeHainaut – Junior – 197 lbs.
Tanner Donathan – Junior – 141 lbs.
Deric Ellyson – Freshman – 165 lbs.
Hunter Heck – Junior – 125 lbs.
Cooper Hemming – Senior – 133 lbs.
Noah Houchins – Freshman – 125 lbs.
Denver Kosch – Freshman – 165 lbs.
Carter Layton – Senior – 174 lbs.
Zach Mason – Senior – 165 lbs.
Andrew McFee – Freshman – 285 lbs.
Tyler Rovnak – Sophomore – 125 lbs.
Jonathon Schafer – Junior – 285 lbs.
Isaac Sell – Junior – 157 lbs.

The Muskies will open conference competition at home on Tuesday, November 16, against Wilmington in the Anne C. Steele Center. The match is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. All home matches will feature live video on the Muskie Sports Network and can be accessed on fightingmuskies.com and/or the OAC TV app.
