Hudock, Zwagerman, and Heyboer named CSC Academic All-District

Muskingum women's lacrosse junior Riley Hudock, junior Riley Zwagerman, and senior Hannah Heyboer were all honored for their academic excellence by being named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

Hudock, an animal studies major, finished the season with 58 goals and eight assists. She also tallied 84 draw controls, 48 ground balls, and 22 caused turnovers. She ranked fifth in the Ohio Athletic Conference in goals scored, ninth in total points, tied for fifth in ground balls, grabbed the third most draw controls, and tied for seventh in caused turnovers.

Zwagerman, an early childhood education major, scored 21 goals and added 16 assists. She recorded 59 draw controls, which ranked 15th in the league, and 38 ground balls, which ranked 12th in the conference.

Heyboer, an interdisciplinary major, led the team with 42 assists and tallied 19 goals. She also added 19 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers. She ranked fifth in the OAC in assists and 12th in points.

To be nominated for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a starter or significant contributor to their team, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and reach sophomore athletic and academic standing at the school.
