The Muskingum women's lacrosse team concluded its 2023 campaign posting several single-season records.
Notables
- As a team, Muskingum set single-season records in caused turnovers (169), draw controls (209), ground balls (374), assists (54), points (207), and goals (153).
- With three goals on the night, sophomore Riley Hudock set a new program record for goals in a season. Hudock recorded 46 goals, breaking the previous record of 45 set by Ashley Adams in the 2017 season.
- After the contest versus Marietta, Hudock also tied the program record for points in a season with 48. Hudock ties her previous record set in the 2022 season.
- With 34 caused turnovers on the year, senior Raiyah Johnson set the program record for caused turnovers, breaking the single-season record of 27 set by teammate Riley Hudock.
- This season, junior Hannah Heyboer recorded 14 assists, breaking the single-season program record set by Carly Spitz in 2019.
- Freshman goalie Kyleigh Dahlgren also etched her name into the Muskingum record books with 82 ground balls on the season, breaking the previous record (81) set by Katie Shamel during the 2018 campaign.

How it Happened
- Marietta grabbed the early momentum with a 8-1 surge in the opening quarter.
- The Pioneers outscored the Muskies 2-1 in the second frame to take a 10-2 advantage into the break.
Inside the Numbers
- Muskingum finished the outing with 30 shots and 30 ground balls. The Muskies also caused five turnovers.
- Hudock led the team with three goals on nine shots. She also added four draw controls, three ground balls and a caused turnover.
- Freshman Maria Decaminada ended the contest with two goals, three draw controls, two ground balls, and a caused turnover.
- Senior Sara Woods added one goal and two ground balls to round out the Muskie scoring effort.
- Dahlgren played all 60 minutes in goal and made eight saves.
