Transylvania shot past Muskingum in the season opener of both teams on a rainy Saturday afternoon at the North Athletic Turf Field, 21-1.

Inside the Numbers
- Transylvania took control of the contest in opening 10 minutes of play by racing out to a 9-0 lead. Rachel Johnston led the Pioneers' spurt with three goals.
- Muskingum senior Ashley Adams scored the Muskies' goal midway through the opening frame. She ended the contest with a team-best three shots.
- Following the Muskie tally, Transylvania resumed control of the game and scored 12 unanswered goals to grab the 21-1 win.
- Muskie seniors Paige Watterman and Courtney Nestoff led the squad with two caused turnovers each.
- Shelby Wuest led the Pioneers with seven goals, while Johnston added five.
