Women’s Bowling ranked Fourth Nationally in Collegiate Club standings

The Muskingum women's bowling team was ranked fourth in the Collegiate Club National rankings.

Muskingum has competed in a total of 11 tournaments this season, with four of them marked as Tier-one events. The Muskies have finished first in two tier-two tournaments while also tallying three top-12 finishes in Tier-one tournaments.

The Muskies have taken home two tournament championships this season while also having five bowlers place in the top-10 as individuals, including one individual tournament champion. Muskingum won Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament #4 in Columbus and the Muskie Mash in Coshocton.

The Muskies racked up their top point-earning performance at a highly competitive Ohio Bowling Conference event hosted at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace. The Muskies captured its first tournament title of the season, which earned them 162 points toward their season total.

Last weekend, at an Ohio Bowling Conference tournament, the Muskies concluded Ohio Bowling Conference action by finishing fifth with an overall pinfall of 6242 and saw two bowlers earn All-OBC honors.

Muskingum was led by freshman Elizabeth Springsteen who rolled a five-game series of 895 to finish ninth out of a 104-bowler field. Springsteen was also awarded Newcomer of the Year, First-Team All-Freshman Team, and collected 2nd Team-All OBC honors.

Sophomore Kaylee Hauck placed 46th, carding a five-game series of 790. Hauck earned 2nd Team All-OBC honors as well for her performance this season.
