Muskingum was stunned in the waning seconds by Marietta on Wednesday night after the Pioneers stole the ball and converted a three-point play in the final second of the game to secure a 64-63 win.
How It Ended
- The Muskies stormed back after trailing by 10 points with 4:28 left in the game to take a 63-61 lead with 2:02 left to play.
- Muskingum held a 63-61 lead until seven seconds left in the contest, when the Pioneers stole the ball, scored a fast-break layup with .3 seconds left, and drew a foul to have a chance to take the lead.
- The Pioneers made the free-throw attempt to take a 64-63 lead.
