Women's Basketball comes out on top of overtime thriller against Hanover

Senior Taylor DeMassimo scored a season-high, while sophomore Claudia Harrington recorded her second career double-double as the Muskies triumphed Hanover in overtime thriller, 77-74.

  • Senior T. DeMassimo scored a season-high in her second straight game. After scoring 17 points last game against the Bluffton Beavers she followed the performance up with 21 points in today's contest against Hanover. T. DeMassimo went 8-of-12 (66.7%) from the field, while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out three assists.
  • Sophomore Harrington helped fuel the Muskie effort with her second career double-double. Harrington tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds in the contest, while also tallying five assists and two blocks.
  • Sophomore Lizzy Allen scored 13 points on 5-of-11 (45.4%) shooting from the field, including going 3-of-6 (50%) from behind the arc. Allen also grabbed six rebounds, while adding in four assists and one steal.
  • Junior Caitlyn DeMassimo scored 13 points, snagged seven rebounds, and had three assists. C. DeMassimo also recorded one block and one steal in the contest. 
  • Sophomore Tori Jones scored six points, with all of her points coming from behind the three point line.

  • Freshman Mckinzi Linscott scored five points and grabbed six rebounds for the Muskies.
  • Hanover shot 29-of-67 (43.3%) from the field, 5-of-21 (23.8%) from behind the arc, and 11-of-17 (64.7%) from the free-throw line.
  • Hanover as a team recorded 31 rebounds, 12 assists, eight steals, and six turnovers
  • Hanover was led by Grace Bezold who scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
