Women’s Basketball comes up short at ONU

Using a fourth quarter push, Ohio Northern outlasted the Muskingum women's basketball team in OAC action on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

Inside the Numbers 

  • The Muskies were led by freshman Claudia Harrington with 14 points and nine rebounds.
  • Freshman Anna Lippiatt had a solid game off Muskingum's bench, nailing two three-pointers and tallying 13 points.
  • Sophomore Caitlyn DeMassimo just missed a double-double registering nine points and hauling in a game-high 11 rebounds.
  • Sophomore Halle Morehead finished with five points and dished out two assists, while freshman Tori Jones and junior Taylor DeMassimo each added three points.
  • The Polar Bears were led by Brynn Serbin with 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists; while Layla Dialsadded 12 points.
  • As a team, the Muskies shot 17-for-54 (30.4%) from the floor, while Ohio Northern finished 24-for-59 (40.7%)from the field.
  • The Muskies hit 8-of-30 (26.7%) three-pointers on the day, while Ohio Northern went 9-for-19 (47.4%) from downtown.
  • Ohio Northern won the rebounding battle 43-32 over Muskingum, and the Polar Bears also finished with a 15-11 edge in assists for the game.
  • Ohio Northern coughed up 10 turnovers on the night, while Muskingum turned the ball over 14 times.
  • The Polar Bears finished with a 28-12 edge in points in the paint.
