Women’s Basketball Falls Short at Elizabethtown

The Muskingum women's basketball team fell short to Elizabethtown, 64-50, Friday afternoon inside Thompson Gymnasium.

Inside the Numbers

  • Freshman Claudia Harrington led the Muskingum offense with 11 points and three assists. 

  • Freshman Anna Lippiatt added eight points.

  • Freshman Lizzy Allen chipped in seven points, grabbed a team-high six rebounds and dished out three assists, while freshman Tori Jones also had seven points and a steal coming off the bench for the Muskies.

  • Junior Taylor DeMassimo secured a team-high three steals and finished the contest with five points.

  • Elizabethtown was led by Summer McNulty who notched a game-high 29 points, while also tallying three rebounds.

  • As a team, Muskingum shot 19-of-46 (41.3%) from the field, while Elizabethtown finished 24-of-54 (44.4%) from the floor.

  • The Muskies fired 8-of-21 (38.1%) from deep, while the Blue Jays shot 4-of-14 from beyond the arc.

  • The Blue Jays won the rebounding battle 40-22, which gave them a 13-0 advantage on second chance points.

  • Elizabethtown forced 19 Muskingum turnovers, while Muskingum forced Elizabethtown to cough up the ball 16 times. The Blue Jays converted Muskingum's turnovers into 25 points, while the Muskies converted their takeaways into 16 points.
