Women’s Basketball slips at Wittenberg

The Muskingum women's basketball team slipped at Wittenberg on Tuesday evening, 77-60.

  • Freshman Claudia Harrington guided the Muskingum offense with 14 points, two assists, and four boards. 
  • Freshman Anna Lippiatt generated a season-high 14 points, while freshman Lizzy Allen also amassed a season-high 10 points and two rebounds.
  • Junior Taylor DeMassimo registered nine points and grabbed two rebounds, while freshman Tori Jones contributed seven points. 
  • Sophomore Halle Morehead dished out a team-high four assists. 
  • Muskingum ended the contest 21-of-47 (44.7%) from the field and was 14-of-17 (82.4%) from the charity stripe.
  • Muskingum had three players score in double figures.
  • Jaz Gaines Burns directed the Tiger offense with a game-high 21 points and four rebounds, while Jade Simpson chipped in 20 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
  • Wittenberg went 30-of-56 (53.6%) from the field and 11-of-17 (64.7%) from the free-throw line.
  • The Tigers forced 15 Muskingum turnovers and converted those into 25 points off turnovers, while Wittenberg also coughed up the ball 15 times, translating to 21 points for Muskingum.
  • Wittenberg won the rebounding battle 36-16, and the Tigers outscored the Muskies 40-24 in points in the paint.
  • Muskingum's bench contributed 19 points, while Wittenberg's bench finished with 10 points on the evening.
