The Muskingum women's basketball team dropped to Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Mount Union on Wednesday night in the Steele Center, 66-48.

Inside the Numbers
- Senior Tanner Wirth paced the Muskies offensively, scoring a team-high 12 points. She finished the contest grabbing five rebounds, dished out two assists, and snatched a steal.
- Sophomore Taylor DeMassimo added 11 points, which included two triples.
- Junior Casey Smith finished with six points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
- Muskingum finished the contest 18-of-61 from the field, 4-of-16 from beyond the arc, and 8-of-11 from the free-throw line.
- The Purple Raiders were guided by Lsi Palamone, who had a game-high 20 points.
- Mount Union finished the contest 27-of-70 from the field, 3-of-20 from beyond the arc, and 9-of-16 from the free-throw line.
How it Happened
- The Purple Raiders used an 11-3 run to jump out to a 15-7 lead after the first quarter.
- Muskingum cut the deficit down to seven in the opening two minutes of the second quarter, but Mount Union would string together a 7-0 run to extend their lead to 26-12. The Muskies answered back with a 7-4 run of their own to end the quarter. The Purple Raiders went into the break with a 30-19 lead.
- Mount Union used a 22-13 third quarter to stretch their lead to 52-32 heading into the final period.
