The Muskingum women's basketball team fell in home action against Ohio Athletic Conference foe Otterbein on Saturday night, 78-59.
The Basics
- Records: Muskingum (1-5, 1-5), Otterbein (5-3, 5-3)

- With that win, Otterbein claimed the season series against Muskingum, 2-0.
Inside the Numbers
- Senior Camay Baylock led the Muskies in scoring with 15 points and grabbed six rebounds.
- Freshman Taylor DeMassimo finished with 14 points, which included hitting four three-point shots.
- Junior Tanner Wirth scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Wirth also chipped in five assists.
- Freshman Leia Smith grabbed six rebounds and added one assist and two blocks.
- The Muskies went 27-for-66 (40.9%) from the field and went 5-for-18 (27.8%) from behind the arc.
- Senior Bryn Mangold guided Otterbein, scoring a game-high 20 points.
- Senior Angelia Jackson recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while senior Abby Zerkle added 15 points and four rebounds.
- The Cardinals finished 21-for-62 (33.9%) from the field and went 10-for-29 (34.5%) from behind the arc.
The Difference
- The Cardinals led 25-17 after the first quarter and used a 20-13 edge in the second quarter to take a 45-30 lead going into the break.
- Otterbein capitalized on 21 Muskie turnovers to rack up a 19-7 advantage on points off turnovers.
- Otterbein went 19-of-22 from the free-throw line, while the Muskingum made 7-of-10.
- Muskingum held a 25-15 margin in bench points.
