The Muskingum women's basketball team suffered a loss to Heidelberg on Saturday, 93-78.

Game Highlights

In the first quarter, Muskingum and Heidelberg traded baskets with neither team gaining more than a six-point lead early on. Yeager drilled a layup at the 4:01 marker to ignite a 7-0 run to give the Muskies a 23-14 lead. Heidelberg retaliated with a 10-2 run to get within one-point (25-24) of Muskingum. In the second quarter, the contest remained tight but Heidelberg outscored the Muskies 18-12 to secure a 42-37 lead going into the break. 

In the third quarter, Muskingum tallied five consecutive points to tie up play to 42-42. Heidelberg answered back with a 12-4 surge to slide past the Muskies with a score of 60-46. Muskingum fought back in an attempt to close the gap and managed to get within ten-points of the Student Princes. Despite their efforts, Heidelberg used a 32-17 advantage in points off turnovers to secure the 93-78 triumph.
